Amazon Canada New Regulations for Lithium‑Battery‑Powered Home Appliances Take Effect; Non‑Compliant Listings to Be Removed in Batches

Author:中认联科 time:2026-08-10 Ctr:26

In June 2026, Amazon Canada updated its special compliance policy for lithium‑battery‑powered home appliances. The platform officially enforced these control rules on June 30. ASINs that have not completed compliance verification will be subject to continuous batch delistings until December 7, 2026. The new regulation sets dual testing thresholds for complete‑unit product safety standards, built‑in lithium‑ion batteries and matching chargers. It covers all categories of small lithium‑battery home appliances including cleaning, kitchen, hair‑care, fan, dehumidification and humidification products.

I. Key Policy Timeline

  1. Mandatory policy effective date: June 30, 2026

  2. Batch delisting window for non‑compliant products: June 30, 2026 – December 7, 2026

Warm Reminder: The platform will carry out batch delisting operations according to the inspection progress of account ASINs. There is no unified centralized delisting date. Sellers are advised to complete compliance verification in advance instead of waiting for platform penalty notifications.

II. Scope of Regulated Products

This policy governs household devices equipped with rechargeable lithium‑ion (Li‑Ion), lithium‑polymer (LiPo) and lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Regulated categories and exempt categories are sorted in separate tables as below.
