Author:中认联科 time:2025-04-17 Ctr:92

On February 25, 2025, the Argentine Secretariat of Industry and Commerce successively issued Resolutions No. 16/2025, No. 17/2025 and No. 26/2025, aiming to simplify and eliminate any obstacles and restrictions that may hinder the normal operation of the market and internal and external trade.

The new resolution updates the basic requirements for the quality and safety of electrical equipment. Manufacturers and importers must submit a declaration of conformity and comply with the conformity assessment procedures necessary to sell products in Argentina. From October 1, 2025, relevant companies must affix a conformity mark, i.e., a conformity stamp and a QR code, on the product or the main packaging of the product.

The main contents of the relevant resolutions are as follows

From February 26, 2025, the following resolutions will no longer be valid (the original certificates are valid for 1 year):

★ Resolution 169/2018 on electrical safety;

★ Resolution 731/1987 on power cord labels for Class I and Class II products;

★ Resolution 524/1998 on minimum safety conditions for plugs and sockets.

The new version of the conformity certification mark (drawing) is as follows

Basic requirements for the new version of the conformity certification mark

◆ Placed in a conspicuous position on the product or its primary outer packaging;

◆ Indelible and permanently fixed under reasonably foreseeable conditions of use;

◆ Size requirements: Figure 1 is preferred. If the shape or size of the product cannot meet Figure 1, Figure 2 is allowed but must not be smaller than Figure 2;

◆ The certification mark allows single or double colors, and shall not overlap with other marks or seals that may mislead users, nor shall it replace other marks or seals required by current applicable regulations.
