GCC certification | Gulf countries need to renew G-Mark certification at the end of the year

Author:中认联科 time:2022-08-15 Ctr:1479

The G-Mark certification is used as an access certificate for products to enter the market of the 7 Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen), and its certification adopts the latest version of GSO/IEC/EN and other standards. When the standard version is updated, the transition period of the old standard is 2 years. When the transition period ends, G-Mark certification will force the adoption of the latest version of the standard. In addition, after the release of the new version of the standard, the certificate obtained based on the old version of the standard must complete the certificate renewal before the implementation date of the new version of the standard, otherwise the certificate will be suspended or revoked.

In order to continue exporting in GSO countries, manufacturers need to renew their existing certificates and submit updated test reports by the end of the year, according to a recent update from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GSO) Organization for Standardization.

The outline of the new standard and its implementation date are as follows:
